Study is an important part of Buddhist practice. The most fundamental source we study is the collected writings of Nichiren Daishonin--the founder of True Buddhism. This body of writings is called the Gosho.

Two important additional sources are the World Tribune, SGI-USA's weekly newspaper and the monthly magazine, Living Buddhism. These share fundamentals of Buddhist theory and practice as well as guidance from SGI President Ikeda, experiences from members practicing around the world and news of the organization's activities. You may subscribe to these publications at the SGI publication website.

The SGI-USA Study Department sponsors study examinations to help members advance in their Buddhist practice. Visit the Study Department Information site to get information on Study Curriculum for all levels (includes Entrance Exam sample questions).
